McKenzie Track Board member, Jamee Savidge, talks to folks as she helps with Homes for Good, the organization re-developing Lazy Days mobile home park. Lazy Days burned down in the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire, destroying 21 homes and 15 RV spaces.
Kids romped around in the inflatable play structures, giving their parents a chance to grab a hot dog, visit with friends and enjoy some live music.
The Ray Merrill Band rolled out timeless tunes that all age of audience could rock along with.
McKenzie High School students, Allen Acevado and Will Meister, warmed up for the cornhole tournament. They finished second. So close. Good job, boys!
The booth for the O'Brien Memorial Library was busy. People have really come together to replace the Blue River Library which was lost in the Holiday Farm Fire. There was an excellent selection of books for sale as well as an impressive array of cookies and cupcakes to round things off.
The running world was still represented at the Labor Day Festival with two of our locals. Corey Culp is our current head coach for the McKenzie River Community School cross country team while Jeff Sherman is our school's unforgettable cross country coach from not so long ago. Thank you both so much for all you do!
